Postby helen757 » Wed Nov 23, 2011 3:40 am

hello Mr or Miss,

Would you help to put the data on the right order?
Every time i put the data on the screen i can not see dependent variable (because it must be with icon abc)
thank you in advance

i have 2 countries uk and kz. the equation i wanna run is as next for each country: lnincome=years of schooling+lnpopulation+age group+male+Et
So what is the right order of the variables written on excel attached for panel data or cross-sectional time series (which is appropriate)? What is the best way to figure out?

The order of the variables doesn't matter. Just include an additional variable identifying the country.

thank you very much. But my Eviews 7 recognizes country as the dependent variable, where i want income to be the dependent one.
So, how can i change it?

Dear startz,

Thanks for your time and knowledge contribution.
Now i have another question. The results of the ADF and PP tests
are more negative than critical values. Therefore i reject the null hypothesis.
But what if in KPSS test it is less positive than critical values. Do i reject the null hypothesis or not?

Kwiatkowski-Phillips-Schmidt-Shin test statistic 0.062004
Asymptotic critical values*: 1% level 0.216000
5% level 0.146000
10% level 0.119000

Just to be confident i need to ask a question.
According to results of KPSS i do not reject the null hypothesis?
If it was more positive than critical values, i would reject the null.
(it would cover critical values by being on top of critical values)
is that right?

the results of adf and pp tests should give the same result, however kpss should attract the opposite in order to meet right conclusion.
Is that right?

hello startz,

I have some problems in understanding results of Johansen cointegration test.
I was wondering if you could help me in interpreting them.
The results attached.
