Hi,
I'm having some troubles with data that I import from excel. I have a column with only integers but, when I import, the Eviews changes the integers with other number that are similar, but not integers (e.g. 22 is changed to 21.9898989). Since I need to run an Ordered model, I really need the exact numbers…
Can you help me??
Thanks!!
Import error

Re: Import error
How sure are you that the numbers are integers in Excel? Remember that Excel may show numbers that are rounded according to a display format. In the unlikely event that EViews is making an error, you might be able to fix things with the @round() function.

Re: Import error
Thanks!! I'll try it..
I'm quite sure that they are integers because I inserted the numbers by hand..

Re: Import error
That's a pretty convincing argument
Unless your integers have something like 14 digits in them, this sounds like a very weird bug. You might want to post the Excel and EViews files for the EViews folks to look at. And you might also want to be sure you've applied all the free updates to EViews.

Re: Import error
We really need to see the Excel file before we can investigate.

Re: Import error
Hi,
The sheet that I imported is the last one and the column that is giving me problems is the column C.
Thank you very much!!!

Re: Import error
The variable rating comes in correctly on my machine. If you look at Help/About in EViews what version and build date do you have?

Re: Import error
7.2!
Could it be an "install error"?

Re: Import error
This one is going to need a rescue from the EViews folks. It will help them if you post the build date from the About box.
