Re: Interpreting Stepwise result
I think it may have something to do with the number of obs left for the stepwise, but I'm not sure. (see s_rev_cbh ) Also another problem I am having is that the stepwise regression does return a result (ie no variables are choosen, with r-squared of 0). However each variable on their own is statisc...

Interpreting Stepwise result
Hi I am busy with stepwise regression. I have already check that, individually, which variables are significant at a 5% level and then only included those variables in the Stepwise. However on some of the equations, i am getting null values where in the Std Error, t-stat and prob columns and an R-sq...

Updating Current eViews Series
Hi I am trying to update series which were previously loaded to incorporate new information in that series. My seires were originally imported straight from excel and that is where I update the series. Is there a method to update my current series in eViews with the new information. I would be rerun...

Multiple Regression Runs
Hi I am currently working on a project where various regressions (uni- and multi-variate) are being run. Is there a way to programme code such that I do not have to retype the variables in the equation each time? For the independent variables, I can create a group. However I am not sure how I would ...

"Final equation sample is larger than stepwise sample"
Hi
Sometimes hen I run a stepwise regression on my data, this note is in the results. Does this mean the sample used for the regression is smaller than my data sample. And if so, does this invalidate my results
Thanks

Using the command window
Hi I am new to eViews and to familiarise myself with the programme I am working through some of the examples in the User Guide. :? In the stepwise-regression example, a for-loop is used. for !i=1 to 40 series x!i=nrnd %name="x"+@str(!i) xs.add {%name} next However when I try run the for-lo...
