I read the eviews 8 manual I in pages 252-253 my case is described, but i cannot find how to sturcture my data into panel?
is it possible to help me?

Dear Gareth, Event is unique and it is just to identify each single line. I am using year as date series as you guess and i have duplicates. My data are for dividend announcements, so some companies announce interim and final dividend or some other announce small dividends each quarter, that is why i have 2 observations for one company.
