Re: Panel unit root, testing for trend significativity
Hi! I have a question relating to panel unit roots: Do I have to do panel unit root tests for my data???? My work deals with executive remuneration data with N>T (or) Is it that panel unit root tests are only applicable to macro economic variables such as GDP, Imports, Exports etc.,??? Very very thk...

Glenn I am using EVIEWS 8...and installed the add in for Breusch Pagan LM test.
Howver, when I run the test, I am gettinga message as:

Re: Panel Data: Cross Section Effect Specification
Run the models....
Then conduct Hausman test.
For more details see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKyR0L1-O2k
Wether u use FE or RE depends on Huasman test results.

Re: panel data query
Hi! I have two RE models and the details are as below: Model 1: 2 main+ 4 controls + Time + industry dummy Model 2: 2 main+ 4 controls + Time The only difference between the two models is that the second model has no industry dummy. Can I compare and analyse the coefficients of the two models, even ...

Re: How to enter data into a panel workfile.
Hi! I have panel data set with 65 firms spread over 5 years (2009-2013) The issue that I am facing is that I have to test for heteroscedasticity. As no direct test for het. is available I have to convert the panel structured/dated to unstructured so I will be able to run White test. How do I underta...

Re: Serial Correation & Heteroskedasticity
Dear Garreth Pg. 280 "Panel data analysis using eviews" by I Gusti Ngura Agung (Published by Wiley, 2014) recommends applying Newey west option instead of White as the former is consistent with "Heteroskedasticity and autocorrelation of unknown form" in panel data. Could u please...

I want to run a fixed effects model with HAC standard errors enabled....In cross section equation estimation window to enable Rob. SEs we go to options>and than choose EITHER "White" or "HAC Newey west(for time series data)" How do I enable the same for panel data...as in equatio...

Re: Dummy Variables
Hi Garreth! Thanks a lot for the reply. It really helped. :D :D :D However, I have another question for the same data set. I now need to control for "industry effects and "time effects" (both together). If we use STATA, the approach is as below: (My doubt is that HOW DO I REPLICATE TH...
