Hi!

I have an existing panel structured workfile. Every observation is identified with year and firm number. How can I insert for example general wage data which is valid for all the firms in one year? I don't want to type in the same number for each observation in one year. Is this possible?

Where is the data currently? (The data you want to insert).

The data is currently in an excel sheet.

Assuming you have a column in Excel that contains the date (doesn't need to have repeated values), EViews should automatically bring it in for you correctly.

See the screenshot for what I meant. A series dependent on year but not on firm number.
I figured out how to do it via links to other workfile pages.
