Question from beginner

Dear Support Team
I have EViews 8 i am a beginner. As far as it has huge amount of opportunities which I dont need I would like to ask you and advice. What shall I need to learn from programming part to be able to use some big time series from databases or databanks , make some programming and manipulations and extract in excel this huge series in the form that I need.
