I frequently need to quickly output a regression table or chart into pdf to share eviews results. I've been doing this by clicking "print" and then using an Adobe PDF writer or Microsoft Document Writer.
After reading the thread "Problem on saving chart as a pdf by programming," I have accepted that pdf output must be done manually (has this changed in the last 6 months?), however, I'm still having an issue: When I click "ok" on the print prompt, whatever document writer I am using (in my case, adobe pdf) takes a moment to prompt me for a save location, file name, etc. In the mean time, eviews thinks the printer is not responding. If I take me more than about 2-3 seconds to choose the save location for my pdf, eviews starts worrying, and the pdf comes out corrupted (usually prints a blank table, or a regression table with sections missing).
Even if I could just get Eviews to wait 15 seconds instead of 3, it would make my life much easier.
I'm fairly certain that this problem does not depend on the "printer" I am using.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Not heard of an issue similar to that before. However I will point out that EViews 8 has the ability to natively save tables and graphs as PDF files, including inside a program.
