Updating Data Imported from Excel

I have created an EViews workfile by importing data from Excel using Foreign Data as Workfile, under File/Open. I now have new datapoints in excel and would like to update the EViews workfile for the data. I can see the excel link in the workfile and in each individual dataset, but can't seem to update this data.

How do I get the updated excel data into the existing workfile?

There is no way to do that other than by re-importing the data from Excel.

Thank you for the reply. I am a new user so please bear with the basic questions:

1) Can i re-import the data in the same workfile? If I can't, it seems like my models will be static, something one of the unnamed course providers failed to mention!

2) How would I set-up a workfile where I can import and update data excel data on an on-going basis i.e. linked to excel worksheets?

File->Import let's you bring into the same workfile (assuming you have EViews 7)
