Hi there, I'm an economics student attending Sonoma State University, and I'm doing a research paper studying the effects of immigration on fiscal expenditures in the United States. The issue we've run into currently is that it's tough to measure these affects on fiscal expenditure because it's influenced by so many factors. I was hoping to narrow the affects by using medical expenditures as a proxy variable for fiscal expenditures, because I figured that's what immigrants would impact the most of in terms of government services. My professor likes my idea, but says I need to find a research paper that backs up my idea to validate this approach. If anyone has any information or knowledge in this area any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
