Improve EPS output

The eps output generated from a graph does not seem to display correctly when imported into Microsoft Word.
However, when you import the EViews generated eps file into Corel Draw and then immediately export the file as an eps again, the resulting eps file looks much nicer when imported into Microsoft Word.
Is this a bug, something that could be improved, or am I doing something wrong?

has the following files:
psexamp.pdf - The pdf from Microsoft Word after importing the EViews eps .
psexamp_corel.pdf - The pdf from Microsoft Word after importing the Corel Draw version of the EViews eps file.
gstest.eps - The eps file exported directly from EViews.
gstestcorel.eps - The eps file exported from Corel Draw after reading in the EViews eps file.
testps.prg - The simple EViews program that reads in a text file, then creates a graph and saves the graph as an eps file.
famedata.txt - Text file of data that testps.prg reads in.

Thank you for your thorough example.

MS Word is known to have limitations in reading eps files, particularly in dealing with fonts. Perhaps Corel Draw modifies the eps file on export to account for some of these limitations.

We suggest exporting in another file format if you intend to use MS Word. If you do not wish to do this, using Corel Draw may be a viable solution for you.
