Hi,
I really have a small Eviews knowledge. My colleague gives me an ini file that I should use to run his program. I think this file is used to setup the database registry. The program that I am trying to run has many fame databases and instead of register the database one by one (eviews->Options->Database registry) you can load this file. The lines in the ini files look like:
/home/int/us/ets/fa/etsmtg.db,USMTG,F,11,ets,weav,"6ÉjôpËp"
I don't know what to do with this file. I went to eviews6 -> Options -> File locations and in the box for the ini files I specify the location of the ini file. I close Eviews and open it again but I don't see anything in the database registry.
Any help would be appreciated!

Re: How to use a ini file
That line could have come from 2 different INI files (the general settings INI file or the database registry INI). To add the entry to your database registry for EViews 6 go to Options -> File locations and open the directory specified by the Database Registry and Alias Map Path. In that directory, open the EVDB.ini file and add the lines.
