Renaming cross section identifier

When I create a workfile in "balanced panel" format, the cross section identifiers are set as integers by default. How can I change these integers to names, e.g. country names...France, Italy, Germany etc.

Create an alpha series containing the names. Then click on Proc->Structure/Resize Current Page, then change the cross-section identifier to be the alpha series with the names.
