Question about "makeresids"

Hello All

both .makeresid or .makeresids work why? (the difference being the last letter "s")

also the (s) option seems to generate the same output as when i don't use it: as such how can i standardize the residuals?

lastly, given my equation is log(y) c x, its seems that when i want to work with the fitted values or residuals i don't have to take the exponential of these series, not sure why.

thank you so much for your help

Wes

The two commands do the same thing, we support both in case people forget that last S.

As mentioned in the manual, the s option only applied to equations estimated by GARCH or limited dependent models.

EViews is smart enough to know you are probably interested in Y and not log(Y), so does the exponentialing for you
