How can we estimate an equation for certain products?
For Example I have 3 products the demand on the first two products are seasonality demand wihle its normal demand on the third product?
The problem that i face is that i don't know how to estimate the equation and what are the coefficients that should be used so the forecasting process can be an accurate one. i've chosen the forecasting on monthly basis, and i want to depend on the least square method in my estimation on the other hands i don't know when i should use ARMA as a part of this equation.
So what i need to know the whole equation!
PS: I use Eviews version 4.0
the attached mail shows an example of the data that i need to forecast for example (forecast month 12 year 2009)
what will be the estimated equation?

Could you phrase your question a bit better? Your post is quite hard to follow.
Re: Eviews Equation Estimation
what i need exactly an equation for the attached data by using the least square method

What equation do you want to estimate?
Re: Eviews Equation Estimation
i have attached the ARTB1 product data its for plastic demand, i need an equation to forecast the demand on this product, can you please help me on this?! :-)

Re: Eviews Equation Estimation
You need to know what the equation you want to estimate is (i.e. the mathematical form of the equation) before anyone can tell you how to estimate that equation in EViews.
Re: Eviews Equation Estimation
I will try again :-S in the attached, the "data" represents the quantity being ordered for each month for the plastic product. what will be the estimated equation if i want to forecast on monthly basis the demand on this product?!

Re: Eviews Equation Estimation
I will try again also. Having the data is useless without knowing what you want to estimate.
You're essentially saying to us, here are some numbers, now do some math to them. Without telling us what math you want done.
