A Warm Tip to the Forecast Evaluation Command "forceval"

Postby Alfred123 » Wed Sep 09, 2020 7:30 am

Dear all,

I am using EViews10 to do the forecast.

You may want to evaluate some different forecasts with the actuals.

EViews has a fantastic command to do this, and the "EViews10 Object Ref" (in pp.570) calls it "forceval".

However, it's wrong. The "capture" function shows that the correct name for this command is "fcasteval".

So, hope everyone who uses the command will notice it.

And hope the author of the "Object Ref" will modify it.

In EViews 11 (and later) both versions of the command work.
