how to store Slopes to run further equation

Postby jame124 » Sun Dec 01, 2019 2:32 am

I have already estimated the equation with 8 crossid, and got the beta of X1 for each crossid, so I have 8 Beta.
I wonder if anyone can help me how to store those 8 Beta as a serie containing 8 Beta, since I have to use those 8 Beta to run another equation further.
Thank you in advance.

I am very new to eviews, and use only the equation box (cannot use the command area)
would be appreciate for your help so much.

You will find the coefficients are automatically stored in the C vector. You can also find them in EQ06Whole.@coefs

Thank you so much. How can I use these Coefficient to run another equation further ?
In the below picture, I need to use data only R2 to R8 to run another equation, these data are currently in the C as the above post told..

Thank you so much.

What exactly do you mean by using them to run another equation?

I mean these R2 to R8 has to be a serie of input (variable x) in another model, in order to estimate another serie of coefficient.
The another model, which I will run, is restricted model which we will fix the known variables (R2 to R8) and then, estimate coefficient to get the final result to interpret.

Appreciate your help so much.

I try my best. To run the new equation that has to use input from the coefficient result from old equation, now I copy those 8 coefficients and edit, then save in new table. Not sure whether it is ok or not.

i tried to run the final equation but Eview said that my new input is not a serie, so I can't run the final equation. I don't know how to go further.

Create a new, empty, series (Object->New Object->Series), then copy the values into it.
