Importing data from XLSX file

I want to import data from XLSX file. In Eviews 7, I go to Proc/Import/Read Text-Lotus-Excel and go to the folder with my XLSX file, but Eviews 7 does not see it. Apparently, it only can recognize .xls files (please see the screen shoot - four files shown are xls files, but the xlsx file in that folder is not shown.

Am I missing something?

You have discovered a menu inconsistency that will be fixed. There should be a 'Import from file' menu item that will read xlsx files but it is missing. To import an xlsx file into your workfile use File->Import->Import from file.

The Read Text-Lotus-Excel only reads text,lotus and .xls excel files.
