I searched the web for a similar error but I found nothing similar so I'm posting this here.

When trying to access the Fred database through EViews 9.5 File -> Database I get this error for the Fred Database:

Database Error: FRED library error: 'Retrieving the COM class
factory for component with CLSID {CBE08C8E-1A6C-4211
-9D44-CECA4B26AD53} failed due to the following error:
80040112.'.

Any help would be gladly appreciated.

Try running the command in the EViews command window and then select Yes(All).

Next restart EViews and try again.

Note: you will need to have admin privileges.
