instruments in system estimation

Postby daanish79 » Mon Jan 11, 2010 4:54 am

i performed panel GMM estimation, of equation
yz4 wdef sii2 zinv_gfcf zwopen
with instruments
@dyn(yz4,-2) wdef(-1) sii2(-1) zinv_gfcf(-1) zwopen(-1)
panel option is 1st difference.

now i want to perform GMM system estimation 1 equation at level with instruments 1st difference, and 2 equation at 1st difference with instruments at level.

in system window i wrote:

yz4 = c(1) + c(2)*iist2 + c(3)*wdef + c(4)*zinv_gfcf + c(5)*zwopen @ @DYN(d(YZ4),-2) d(WDEF(-1)) d(IIST2(-1)) d(ZINV_GFCF(-1)) d(ZWOPEN(-1))
d(yz4) = c(1) + c(2)*d(iist2) +c(3)*d(wdef) + c(4)*d(zinv_gfcf) + c(5)*d(zwopen) @ @DYN(YZ4,-2) WDEF(-1) IIST2(-1) ZINV_GFCF(-1) ZWOPEN(-1)

it returned error with @dyn

please tell me if i specified the correct system. and what can be used in place @DYN to have a similar effect..

i have searched eviews text but found no clues

i will be really greatfull for your prompt reply

Regards

As I replied to the original poster elsewhere, EViews does not currently support dynamic panel system estimation, so the @dyn keyword is not recognized.
