Combining Calibration and GMM Estimation
I have a model whose number of parameters exceeds the number of variables and i would like to know if it is possible for me to calibrate some of the parameters with values from literature and then estimate the remaining parameters (whose number will now be less than the number of variables) using the system GMM on Eviews.

While it isn't very elegant, one approach is to replace the names of the calibrated parameters with the numerical values you choose.

Re: Combining Calibration and GMM Estimation
Although my supervisor lacks the technical expertise to judge my work adequately at this level of sophistication but i know he will still want a situation where i get to run an estimation of the system of equations i have specified. That is why i am considering choosing values from literature for some parameters and estimating the rest using GMM...I just want to know if it is tenable!

Re: Combining Calibration and GMM Estimation
After you replace the calibrated parameters with numbers, run the estimate to get estimated values of the other parameters.
