Hi,
maybe it is not a "bug", but I treat it as somethig devaluating Eviews 9 compared to Eviews 7 or 8. I have a dated panel structured workfile, let's say with weekly data for IDs A and B. Now I want to import data into this workfile, not unique for every ID, so only with dates in Excel file. And Eviews 9 does not understand that I need to assign the same value for rows with the same date. It writes the values only for the first ID, and puts NA for all other IDs. There was no such a problem in Eviews 8, and neither in Eviews 7 I think... Can you fix it in the next patch?

Could you provide example files that show what you're describing?

Re: Importing dated series into panel workfile
So I opened up the workfile in EViews, then dragged the Excel file onto the workfile. I just hit Finish on the import dialog, and didn't link, and overwrote the existing variable. EViews then does as it should - it repeats values for each date.
Could you outline the steps you do that doesn't result in that behaviour? (Also could you confirm the build date of your copy of EViews 9 - Help->About EViews)?

Re: Importing dated series into panel workfile
Wow, it is funny, because it is working indeed, but only when you hit Finish immediately in the first window. Me, I was clicking Next, Next, and then Finish, and then it doesn't work!
