Levinsohn and Petrin - Production Function Estimation

Postby Erick Gonzales » Mon Jul 13, 2015 7:00 pm

Hello, I would like to kindly consult if there is an add-in or built-in procedure in EViews for estimating a production function by the method of Levinsohn and Petrin (2003).
As you may know, Levinsohn and Petrin (2003), based on the work of Olley and Pakes (1996), developed a method that allows the usage of inputs to control for unobservables. An equivalent in Stata would be the command "levpet" developed by Petrin, Poi, and Levinsohn (2004).
I would be very thankful if you could please give me some insights about the possibility of executing this method with EViews.
