what do i do with NA fields

what do i do with NA fields

I am working on a panel file which has 42 banks over a period of 20 years.Many of the banks have values in fields stated as N/A .What do i do with those values.Should i leave the cell empty or leave it as NA while importing data into eviews from EXCEL.I am using e views 8

Doesn't matter, EViews will interpret them as NAs either way.
