Non linear model estimations

Hi!
I have a data set that are non linear in the parameters. If I estimate this with LS regression, there is a way of handeling this problem by iteration. However, when I insert the regression line and take the tab "Options" , this tab is greyed out, and I cannot choose anything. Does this mean that Eviews estimates the LS regression with a non linear method or with a linear method?
How can I estimate my equation with a non linear method? I cannot transform the parameters with log because this did not work. So I need a method that accept non linear parameters.

Thanks for your help!

By the way, does quantile regression regression handle non linear parameters?

Hi,

Please be more specific. Upload your file and state the desired specification.

In answer to the first question - EViews will only show the iteration options if your problem is non-linear. If it is a linear problem, those options are greyed out. Thus if you see them greyed out, it is because EViews believes your problem to be linear.

Quantile regression does not allow non-linear models (in EViews at least).

Hi, Eviews 11 handle with nonlinear quantile regression?
