Extracting Values from a serie to create a new serie

Hey, Im quite new to Eviews, but were using it at school with minimum information about the program.
So here is probably a very simple question but I just can't find the answer.
We have made a dataset which contains info about houses. amount of m2 dummy variables for a garden garage balkony etc.
And also groupnrs for area's where the houses are located. We have built period x for the house then area 1 ,2 3 then built period y then area 1, 2 , 3
For four built periods and then for every period area one two or three. So we have a corresponding groupn from 1 to 12 for every house.
To regress simply on the area we want to make new series which contains the groupn 1,4,7,10 one for 2,5,8,11 and one for 3,6,9,12.
But how can you do this. I'm using eviews 6 btw.

I don't follow what you're doing at all. Could you re-explain what you're trying to do?
