Panel data.

Postby Fatema19 » Sat Mar 28, 2020 10:09 am

Dear brothers and sisters,
Hello,

I would like to ask a question about Data. For my study i collected data, but before importing data to Eviews i would like to be sure that they are in the form required.

Acctually for all my Data im using "commas" like for GPD year 2004 the amount is : 16546389787,23

So should i keep them as : 16546389787,23 or should i just use punctuation like : 15546389787.23 ?

Or is it the same thing ?

My second question, is where i can find Eviews software so that i can download it.

If any one can share responses or advices, i will be grateful.

Thank you.

Thank you for your response.

Another question related to data, if comma or point is an option. What about the order or form of number. Because for exp i have for let say GDP variable nuumber for each year like : 12364584,12 - 12215257,45 - 1754621,15 ...etc same form like : 8 numbers before the comma and 2 after the comma.

But for another variable let say for trade i have for each year : 16,15 - 184,15 - 53,6562 ...etc, means differents numbers after and before the comma.

My question is : should for all variable make the same form i mean have the same number after and before comma or its the same thing, i mean its will not affect the tests or estimations or results ?

Thank you.
