I'm a greenhorn with Eviews and my questions will be quite basic, I guess.
Anyway, I want to do a simple bivariate cross-section regression, but I'm already stuck at the very beginning. I have country data, and I want to assign the country name abbreviations as identifiers to my observations. As yet they're just labelled from 1 to 191. But I don't know how to do that.I know, I guess it's probably explained somewhere in the user guide, but I just can't find it.
How to create identifier series?

Re: How to create identifier series?
Create a new Alpha series with the names you want (Click on Object->New Object->Series Alpha), then fill it in, and then give it a name (click on the Name button)
Then set that Alpha series as the ID series for your workfile (Click on Proc->Structure/Resize Current Page, set structure type to "undated with ID series" and fill in the name of your id series.
