Restrict user access in workfile

Restrict user access in workfile

Hi,

I know that it is a silly question, but is there any way that access to a workfile/prg file can be restricted? What I have in mind is something like password protection, similar to MS Office files. I know that it does not make any sense to do so, but where I work, we keep getting this question from our internal audit team.

Programs can be encrypted. Anything further has to be done using Windows tools rather than EViews tools.
