Model Variables View - Display Filter

How can I programmatically change the display filter on a model while in the variables view? I couldn't find anything in the documentation or on the forum.

I used modelname.vars to get to the variables view, but I cannot figure out how to filter the displayed variables.

I am using EViews 8 Enterprise on Windows 7.
