Hello,
I have made an average shifted histogram from one of my series, now I'd like to separately store the x & y axes of the histogram into 2 series. To do this, I'd have to retrieve the values from the ASH graph's x and y axes. The x axis is straight-forward, but the y axis is not -- its the frequency. Do I need to save it as an object to proceed with this?
Please advise
Thanks
ASH Data Series

Re: ASH Data Series
There is a proc for this. I'm away EViews right now, but I think it's Proc/Make Distribution Data... from the menus, and the command distdata.

Re: ASH Data Series
Thanks for looking into this question, your solution works nicely.
One thing I did notice though was there is no way (via the user interface) to make distdata for quantile quantile symmetry.
Maybe there is a command for this?

Re: ASH Data Series
The eviews guide was super helpful up until that point. I thought now that I know how the commands work I could take some educated guesses. I have been trying things like:
Didn't work though, still I'm not sure how to retrieve the symmetry qq matrix
Anyone else have better luck?
Code: Select all
x1.distdata(dtype=symmetryqq) matrix_1Anyone else have better luck?

Re: ASH Data Series
Doesn't look as though the symmetric graph is supported for output. But I'll take a look.
[edit: I just confirmed that the symmetry qq plot data is not currently exportable. I'll put it on the list of things to do. Our apologies.]
