Working with Workfile-Pages

Hi QMS

I have several workfile-pages namely GDP, Consumption, Investment, Government, Exports, Imports, Prices and Wealth. All of them are small estimated models and have their stochastic errors saved that need be to used for estimation on other pages. All of them are interrelated in one way or another.

All data are in the same frequency and sample size is the same.

(1) How can I use variables across workfile-pages, without them copied to other pages? In the prices page I have consumption, investment and producer prices, which are estimated using regaression analyses. I have to use these 3 prices deflators to their respective variables. I want all my prices on one page and once they change, I will have to change the numbers in that page alone. I know I'll have to re-estimate the models for the change to take effect.

(2) On the individual pages I do estimations and save their respective stochastic errors on the workfile-page. Can I use them as a variable in a regression on different page? If so how? Please give direction.

You can not use variables from one page on another page without copying them. However you can copy them as a link (use paste special rather than paste), which means you only have to update them on the source page.
