Find/replace crash

Eviews crashes whenever I try to find/replace over a certain character limit in the program editor. I have tested this a bit and it doesn't seem to matter what I am replacing, only what I am replacing it with. For example replacing "dddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd" with "xxx" works fine, but replacing "xxx" with "dddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd" crashes eviews. This behaviour is consistent accross different programs in different directories.
