sorting series in groups

Hi,

I have several monthly series from different data sources in a work file. They have different start dates and end dates. Is there any way to sort them by start date together in a group? For example if I have the following series with the following start dates:

X1 - 1990:01
X2 - 1990:06
X3 - 1991:02
Y1 - 1990:01
Y2 - 1991:02

Right now when I put them in a group Eviews displays them in columns in this order: X1 X2 X3 Y1 Y2
Seems Eviews default is alphabetical?

I would like them arranged by start date: X1 Y1 X2 X3 Y2

Is there any way to sort like this?

You can change the order of series by pressing the 'view' button in the group window and selecting 'group members'. After resorting the series names, select the 'view' button again and choose 'spreadsheet' to get back to the table view.
