Insufficient number of observations

Postby Malcs » Sat Feb 28, 2015 12:53 pm

Hi there, I'm new to EViews and would like to find out what I am doing wrong here... I am currently using monthly time series data and the dependent variable (sol), I used Genr and typed the formula rsol = 100*log(sol). Then for the 19 independent variables I used the following formula dvariable = variable - variable(-1). And I get the error Insufficient number of observations. The new independent differenced time series data shows N/A at the beginning and zero at the end but the dates are correct. Assistance would be appreciated.

Do you have more months than right hand side variables? You might want to post your workfile.

Thank you for your response, we decided to add the excel spreadsheet by importing the data again and the program worked.
