Dear EViews team,
Our group has recently updated to Excel 2010. One of the features we are exploring is the PowerPivot add-in, now standard in 2013. I was wondering if there was a way to call on data in EViews databases for updates and usage in PowerPivot--SQL, Oracle, and DB2 are all explicitly covered. Seeing that documentation for macros executing EViews programs were available in EViews 8, is there any way to do this in EViews 8 or in the upcoming EViews 9? I'm guessing if there was a way to connect it might be through the OLEDB import in PowerPivot, but I haven't found any documentation for such a method yet.
Our Excel version is Office Professional Plus 2010, 32-bit, our EViews version is 8.1 Enterprise, 64-bit.
Thanks,
Gordon

Re: Database Compatibility with PowerPivot
Currently the only way to read in EViews databases into a PowerPivot table is to import the EViews database into an regular pivot table via the EViews Ole DB driver and then save that excel file. You could then import that saved excel file into a PowerPivot table.
We will investigate the ability to link the data directly into PowerPivot.
