Selecting end of month values out of daily time series

Hi,

I am a new user of EViews 8. I imported a daily time series (5 days a week) from Excel. It works. How can I create a new series based upon the last (or the first) observation of each calendar month? Paste special/frequency conversion didn't work.

Create a new monthly page, Copy the series over to that monthly page, and use "Last" as the conversion method.
