@wquery limit

Postby troy_walters » Thu Jan 15, 2015 9:21 am

I am trying to @wquery an IHS Magellan databank.

Code: Select all

%fetch_string = @wquery("CPERM", "name matches UBPSF*", "name")
I am getting the following error:

Database error: search results truncated (1994 items found).

Is there a limit to the number of objects returned by @wquery? If so, what is that limit? I can't find anything in the docs.

The limit is set by the Magellan servers, not by @wquery or EViews. Unfortunately it is not user configurable.

It is my understanding however, you should also have access to the IHS Global Insight database. This is another EViews supported database format. You may have better luck performing the same search there.
