I am using Eviews 7 (with recent updates) and have been referencing the Eviews 7 Object Reference, page 397. Subsequent posts have suggested that the syntax should use a dot plus at-sign, as below. However, I have not been able to get this syntax to work with a sample object as indicated in the Object Reference guide. The ultimate goal is to extract the sample displayname and add it to a title of a graph. All I am able to extract is the object name, not the displayname. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

s1.@displayname Annually from 2001-2009

Re: How to set and print sample displaynames
Samples cannot have display names. We should remove it from the Object Reference.
