Import data from excel containing decimals

I'm trying to import data from an excel file. My problem is that Eviews seems to be unwilling to handle my series containing decimals as number series. If change the default settings so that also these series are imorted as number series (instead of character series) the decimal sign is removed from the values above one and i get N/A for the values below one.

Does anyone know how I can import the data as i want it, as number series with the decimals correctly specified?

Oh, also I'm not actually using excel but open office Calc. Dont know if it has anything to do with it.

The Year kolumn is the only one beeing interpreted as a numbers series.

EViews is unable to import .ods files. How are you importing the data? Via copy and paste?

Oh, ok. Yes, paste as Eviews workfile. Is there any simple way I can get around that? It's really not much data.
