Autoupdating from Excel

Hi all,

I'm new to Eviews and I'v been looking for this option through the web and in the user guids for a signifacnt time with no results so far.


How can i autoupdate series that's already imported to eviews from an existing Excel file?
The Excel file is constantly updated (manually) and the data there is changed and added. (for example quarterly data about gdp, taxes etc.)

The only way to do this, currently, is to write an EViews program that re-imports the data from Excel. Then you have to run the program, manually, anytime the Excel data changes.

Where can i find a toturail on Eviews progrmaing? i have some background in progrmaing but i don't know the syntax and how it works.
