Hi,
when opening a workfile i have been working with for days
close @all
cd "C:\tvb\articles\Norwegian_productivity_puzzle\eviews"
wfopen .\wf\Productivity_database
i got the message "string too long", and I could not open the workfile. what does this error message mean?
now i have recreated the workfile, and it opens as usual, but i have never before got an error message when opening a workfile that i have created.
sincerely

Re: wfopen "string too long""
Hi
the error happened again today, when opening the workfile i have been working with yesterday i got the error message:
"String too long in "WFOPEN .\WF\PRODUCTIVITY_DATABASE"
what string is too long? it cannot be the name of the workfile...?
It is so strange because the program could easily open the workfile yesterday.

Re: wfopen "string too long""
Now i recreated the workfile Productivity_database and opened it with the command above, and it worked fine. But if I close and reopen Eviews and then try to execute the command, i get the error message "String too long in "WFOPEN .\WF\PRODUCTIVITY_DATABASE"
So something happens when closing and reopening Eviews 8....?
