simple question about @mean(x[,s])

simple question about @mean(x[,s])

hi, I have simple question
I have 144 obs monthly, I would like to claculate just mean for simple 1949m01 1955m12
when I use scalar m=@mean(x, "1949m01 1955m12") Error message "Too many Arguments"
can you help me please.
