Import data - extend

Hi

I have an Eviews database (.edb). I want to import data using the resize funtionality of the import function. how do i do that from an Eviews database? from the manual, it looks like i can use the import function to import and resize from many sources (e.g., GiveWin), but i cannot find the code for the Eviews database. One option is to store the data in the pcgive format, and then load it using the import function. but i suspect that there is a way of fetching data from the Eviews database that will automatically extend the range of the workfile.

can you please tell me how i should proceed.
