Hello. I'm working with Eviews 7 and 8 in differents machines.
We are running a code that realize a million of estimations, trying with differents combinations of lags of variables. The program takes a long time to run and the computer becomes a bit slow. So i want to know how to modify the 'Advanced System Options' in 'General Options', so that the code be as efficient as possible.
I am currently running the code with these options:
- Maximum observations per series 4 millions observations (Eviews 7 and 8);
- Memory Reserved for Windows, DLL, files, device drivers and the Eviews heap: 800 (Eviews 8) and 200 (Eviews 7) megabytes;
-Compile to Intel machine code: Activated;
- Maximum threads used in statistical calculations: Auto;
I appreciate your help in this regard.
Thanks.

Re: Code with millions of estimations
The only settings that will affect it are the number of threads, and compile to Intel code. You have both set optimally. Probably the only way to speed up your program is to make it more efficient.
