Thanks I had seen this. but it seems suboptimal. I have a graph object in Eviews. I only seem to get the option of pasting this as a picture rather than to paste link it. I'd like my ppt to be refreshed every time I rerun my Eviews programme that contains these graphs.

Pasting as link should do what you want. Without more details it is hard to know why you are not able to paste as link.
