Panel Dataset

Hi,
I have this data and I want to estimate it in Eviews. The problem is when I open it in Eviews as "Foreign Data as workfile", it is not in a dated panel format. I tried to convert it into a dated panel but it converts it in 1980 2010 x 106 Dim(54,54,31) format and is not recognized as a panel data, because there is no option of panel estimation. Also we I try to change the structure of the dataset by providing the cross section id series as "exporter" "importer" and date series "year", it does not take year as date series but creates a dateid. How to go around this problem? This dataset was taken from WTO and UNCTAD database and the guide they provided with it states it to be panel data with an illustration in Stata, but I can't do it in Eviews. Any hints...

EViews only offers panel estimation options for 2-dimensional panels.

On "Step 3 of 3" during the open of the file, enter the name of the two cross-sections and the date-series, then EViews will read it in as a 3D panel (although that doesn't help you for estimation).
