converting a quarterly series into annual data

How can I convert a data series in quarterly frequency into annual series in Eviews. Thanks.

Hi Gareth

Don't seem to work in Eviews 6. When I copy and try to paste special, nothing comes out. Is this applicable for converting quarterly data to annual data, ie is conversion from high frequency data to low frequency data allow?

It should work in EV6. Are you sure you followed the instructions?

Hi Gareth

Thanks for the reply and assurance that it works. I tried it on your file and it works, so I went back to my file and found that I have not added a new workfile with annual specifications frequency in my file. That is why when I did a paste special, nothing comes out. Thanks anyway for the reply that led to my trial and error results.
