Non-standard characters behaviour
EViews seems to think that words containing non-standard characters (e.g. å, ä, ö, Å, Ä, Ö, á, à, ã, ï etc.) can be broken anywhere (in e.g. the @uiprompt function). It would be great if these would be treated the same as standard characters.

Non-standard characters behaviour
I'm not sure I follow.
Re: Non-standard characters behaviour
Consider the two dialog boxes:
On my computer, the first dialog box treats the last "word" as one word breaks the line before. But the second dialog box breaks the last "word" after the non-standard characters (ååå), even though the complete last word is shorter in length than in the first dialog box.
Code: Select all
@uiprompt("one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven andareallylongwordwithonlystandardcharacters")
@uiprompt("one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven åååandareallylongwordwithonlystandardchar")

Gotcha. I'll see what we can do.

Re: Non-standard characters behaviour
The April 27th patch contains the fix.
