Uploading from Excel

I am trying to upload my data from an Excel spreadsheet into EViews 6 Student Version. Whenever I try to open foreign data as workfile a window comes up that says Binary Read. What am I supposed to do? I'm pretty sure I have everything formatted correctly in Excel. How do I get it so I can run a LS regression? Please help quick!
